Terms

Terms of use

The few rules that keep Restoring Lives Worship Center online a safe, kind place. How we look after your information is in our privacy notice.

About these terms

This website and app are run by Restoring Lives Worship Center UK, a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 1054709), Stonebridge Primary School, Shakespeare Avenue, London NW10 8NG. By using them you agree to these terms. They sit alongside our privacy notice, which explains how we look after your information.

Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to create an account. Children's details are added by a parent or carer through the church office.
  • Use your own details, keep your password to yourself, and tell the church office straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • If you have a role that lets you see other people's information, you must turn on two-step sign-in and use what you see only for your role in the church.
  • You can close your account at any time from My details & privacy.

Talking with one another

Group conversations, the live service chat, prayer requests and stories are for building one another up. Everything you post must be kind, true and lawful. You must not post anything that:

  • is illegal, or encourages or helps anyone to break the law, including threats, harassment, hate because of who someone is, terrorism, fraud or scams;
  • sexualises or exploits a child in any way, or seeks to contact a child inappropriately;
  • is sexual, violent or cruel, or encourages self-harm or suicide;
  • shares someone else's private information, photos or prayer needs without their permission;
  • advertises, sells, or asks for money, except through the church's own giving pages;
  • pretends to be someone else, or tries to get into accounts or parts of the site that are not yours.

Keeping everyone safe

Group conversations can be read only by the members of that group and the church staff who look after groups. The live chat is open only during services, and filters out links, contact details and bad language. Group leaders and church staff can remove messages, close a conversation, and remove people from a group. Children do not have accounts, and youth groups follow the church's safeguarding policy, including having more than one adult leader in any conversation with young people.

If you see something that worries you, press Report on the message, or tell a leader or the church office. Reports go straight to the group's leaders and the staff responsible. We look at every report, remove anything that breaks these terms, and may suspend or close an account that does. Anything suggesting a child or adult is at risk is passed to the church's safeguarding lead and, where needed, to the police or local authority. In an emergency, call 999 (or 911 in the US).

If you disagree with how we handled a report, or with content of yours being removed or an account being closed, write to info@rlwc.org.uk. Someone not involved in the first decision will look at it and reply within 14 days.

Giving

  • Gifts through the Give page go to the charity, are processed securely by Stripe, and are used for the fund you choose, or where the need is greatest if a fund closes.
  • You can change or stop a monthly gift at any time from My church. If a gift was made in error, contact the church office within 30 days and we will refund it.
  • A Gift Aid declaration confirms you are a UK taxpayer who has paid enough Income or Capital Gains Tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed. Tell us if this changes.
  • Gifts to Bishop Elliott's personal ministry by Zelle or Cash App go to him directly. They are not donations to the charity, are not tax-deductible in the United States, and cannot be claimed under Gift Aid.
  • Tickets and bookings are confirmed by email; the event page says if a ticket can be refunded.

Teaching and content

The teaching, courses, words and images on this site belong to the church or are used with permission. You may read, print and share them for personal and church use, but not sell them or present them as your own. The Bible text in the app is the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain. When you post something, you keep it, but you allow the church to show it to the people it was meant for.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site accurate, available and secure, but cannot promise it will always be so. Teaching and pastoral words here are spiritual encouragement, not medical, legal or financial advice. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute; if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also use your local courts. We may update these terms and will show the date below. Last updated 16 October 2026.
